Ahh, Goodreads… I have to say that I use it every single day. I like to search for books because I’m a masochist and somehow I like to keep adding more books to my killer weight TBR. I also like to post there my reviews and see what people think, and I like to see at what % of a book I’m going. It motivates me! And I know it can also be stress-y but for now, it has worked great!
I was tagged by Nicola @ Thoughts on Fantasy and by Mandy @ Book Princess Reviews to do this awesome tag so thank you so much and sorry for the delay! Both of them have amazing and diverse blogs so make sure you check them out! Also, check out Nicola’s post here and Mandy’s post here!
WHAT WAS THE LAST BOOK YOU MARKED AS READ?
It was the ARC for How to Make a Wish by Ashley Herring Blake! I will post a review for it at the end of the month, before the book is released!
WHAT ARE YOU CURRENTLY READING?
City of Glass by Cassandra Clare. I’ve been trying to read one or two books of the collection per month, trying to catch up on The Dark Artifices so many people talk about…
WHAT DO YOU PLAN TO READ NEXT?
I intend to read Countless by Karen Gregory, which as a freaking amazing cover. And after that, for the last book of the month, The Enemy Within by Scott Burn!
DO YOU USE THE STAR RATING SYSTEM?
Yes, I do. Although I always find interesting other types of ratings, but for some reason, I never stick with any of them.
ARE YOU DOING A 2017 READING CHALLENGE?
Yes, yes, yes! My milestone for this year is 65 books but I’m secretly hoping I can pass that a bit. Last year I read more than that. But I had some graphic novels and manga, and less school work, and I didn’t want to make myself stress too much about it so let’s see how it goes! So far I read 34 books (altough I havn’t submited the last one I read, so it says 33).
DO YOU HAVE A WISHLIST?
I have a TBR list. Does that count? It’s kind of a Wishlist. But other than that, I only make some kind of Wishlist during Christmas or sometimes my birthday, although more rarely.
WHAT BOOK DO YOU PLAN TO BUY NEXT?
It’s more like what book don’t I plan to buy next, sigh! I am way too indecisive… I always want some book but then I see something new and *puff* everything changes… But now I have been eyeing this one and for sure I will get it! I love the cover and it’s a limited edition to celebrate 20 years of HP! You can get the cover with any of the houses, mine is Gryffindor, and there are paperback and hardback editions.
DO YOU HAVE ANY FAVORITE QUOTES?
Way too many… Here are some:
“It does not do to dwell on dreams and forget to live.” ― J.K. Rowling
“If my life is going to mean anything, I have to live it myself.” ― Rick Riordan
“Never forget what you are, for surely the world will not. Make it your strength. Then it can never be your weakness. Armour yourself in it, and it will never be used to hurt you.” ― George R.R. Martin
“Be yourself; everyone else is already taken.” ― Oscar Wilde
“If you dare nothing, then when the day is over, nothing is all you will have gained.” ― Neil Gaiman
“Everything’s a risk. Not doing anything is a risk. It’s up to you.” ― Nicola Yoon
“Fear is only your enemy if you allow it to be.” ― Sabaa Tahir
WHO ARE YOUR FAVORITE AUTHORS?
Rick Riordan, Marissa Meyer, J.K Rowling, Leigh Bardugo, Jane Austen and recently I’ve been really liking Nicola Yoon and some others. And my favorite for children books is Roald Dahl.
HAVE YOU JOINED ANY GROUPS?
Yes… But I’m not really active, for some reason they always seem a bit messy to me and I can’t understand muvh of how they work. Plus I don’t have much time now for that.
But I joined: “The Rory Gilmore Book Club”, “For Love of a Book”, “Mount TBR 2017”, “Top 5 Wednesday” and “For Love of a Book”.

Wonderful tag, Joana! 😀 That Countless cover is amazing, and I can’t wait to see if the book lives up to it. 😀 Also, I loved alllll of your quotes. Your answers were so much fun to read for this tag, and wonderful post! 🙂

You’re welcome! 😀 I enjoy the books but I don’t really find them anything much… I like the characters (although the main one annoys the crap out of me) and the world is really great but it’s quite a young read… I want to move to TID and see if it’s any different, hopefully yes!!

Yeah exactly, that’s the thing; I cannot stand an annoying protagonist.

I will be reading them in chronological order and supposedly TID is better, so hopefully I will make myself read them all still this year 😛

I’m a member of For Love of a Book in Goodreads too! But I’m not as active there as I was before because of school. Lol. Anyway, great post Joana! 😀

Wow, you’re really far ahead with your reading challenge – I’m falling behind a bit with mine so I need to catch up 🙂 I love your quotes and your choices for favourite authors, particularly Roald Dahl, he’s also my favourite children’s author – his books are just wonderful.

I’m ahead of schedule but deep inside I want to read about 80 books at least this year, because last year I managed that… But let’s see! I tend to always put it a bit lower, otherwise I think I will stress over it. Thank you! 😀 Definitely! I have a lot of his books in Portuguese, so now I really want to get them in english, especially my favorites! 😀

I’m actually rereading the series lol. And it’s good!! (But I think the Infernal Devices series is better tbh.)

I can’t wait to read those ones! I’m reading in chronological order so my next book is Clockwork Angel! 😀
If there’s something about Cassandra Clare’s books is that they feel kind of addictive. Although I don’t like them as much so far – mainly because it feels bit to young for me – I feel that I would definitely re-read them in the future.

I did this one last year, but I could totally add a new twist, now that I’ve read more books.
You’re doing well on your challenge, keep going! ^^
(I’m in love with those Harry Potter editions ❤ )
