WWW Wednesday – 4 of October of 2023

Welcome to my first ever WWW Wednesday. A weekly meme hosted by Sam over on Taking on a World of Words.

The idea is pretty simple, every week you dedicate a post to the three W’s:

What are you currently reading?

What have you just finished reading?

What are you going to read next?

Currently Reading

The Last Time I Lied is what I’m STILL currently in the middle of. I haven’t been reading anything not even manga, so I made exactly no progress with this one. My mental health has been kicking my butt and reading is just not working for me. But I promise I’ll end this at some point this month!

Top Ten Tuesday – Reading Goals to Accomplish Before 2024

Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.

The rules:

  • Each Tuesday, Jana assigns a new topic. Create your own Top Ten list that fits that topic – putting your unique spin on it if you want.
  • Everyone is welcome to join but please link back to The Artsy Reader Girl in your own Top Ten Tuesday post.
  • Add your name to the Linky widget on that day’s post so that everyone can check out other blogger’s lists.
  • Or if you don’t have a blog, just post your answers as a comment.

This week’s topic is: Reading Goals I Still Want to Accomplish Before the End of the Year (We’ve just begun the last quarter of the year! What bookish goals would you still like to accomplish? If you participated in TTT’s Bookish Goals for 2023 topic this past January, update us on which goals you’ve achieved, which you’ve given up on, and which ones you’re still working on!)

Hey guys! Here’s to hopping this list will actually happen. Cheers!

September Wrap-up and October TBR

wrapupandtbr

Hey guys!! How has your month been?

I’m still in quite a bad state mentally and all I can muster to read is manga because it doesn’t require much attention and it’s light. But towards the end of the month not even that seemed to be possible. I wanted to end one series and well, I couldn’t so overall this didn’t go like I wanted to. What about your month, how was it?

Check out what I’ve read this month:

He tries to be in the shadows while still helping his friends. He is the kindest and most helpful wolf… But one day he gets what he thinks is these awful predator instincts and he is trying to calm it down and ignore it. Attack on Titan Omnibus Vol.1 Review

Attack on Titan Omnibus Vol.1 by Hajime Isayama
Series: Attack on Titan #1-3
Published October 19, 2021
Publisher: Kodansha Comics
Genres: Manga, Fantasy, Horror
Pages: 592
Format: Paperback
Buy: Amazon

It’s never been easier to attack Attack on Titan than with these new, giant-sized 3-in-1 omnibus editions! If you’ve been waiting for the final anime season to check out the do-or-die shonen adventure that defined a decade, now’s your chance. These new books tuck almost 600 pages of manga behind a specially-embossed cover, all in a larger size than the regular version. Includes Vol. 1-3 of Attack on Titan. For eons, humans ruled the natural world. But a century ago, everything changed when the Titans appeared. Giant, grotesque parodies of the human form, these sexless monsters consumed all but a few thousand human beings, who took refuge behind giant walls. Today, the threat of the Titans is a distant memory, and a boy named Eren yearns to explore the world beyond the wall. But what began as a childish dream will become an all-too-real nightmare when a Titan finally knocks a hole in the wall, and humanity is once again on the brink of extinction…

This image has an empty alt attribute; its file name is screenshot-2021-08-26-at-16.36.44-1.png

This book is about titans and how they pose such a threat to humanity. It has been 100 years since the last time this town was breached, but even with 500m walls, the time of peace ended.

Eren was young when this all happened, but even before that he wanted to go outside the wall and hunt titans. After the first incident he ever experienced with titans, he saw his mother get killed. And that only reinforced his belief. Some years later, him, Mikaza and Armin just graduated and are ready for it all to start. They didn’t have to wait long…
