August Wrap-up and September TBR

wrapupandtbr

Hey guys!! How has your month been?

This one did NOT go according to plan AGAIN😂 So… Like I said before I’m in a bit of a slump and mentally drained, so I’ve been binging manga, which is easier on the mind. I did manage to end one normal book tho, which is fantastic for me! That said I did love my moth so I hope you do too! If you aren’t into manga or anime it’s completely fine, but as of now, that’s pretty much my whole page… I promise I’ll do reviews of some normal books soon! My next one will be Yellowface, since I have easy access to right now.

Check out what I’ve read this month:

Welcome to my first ever WWW Wednesday. A weekly meme hosted by Sam over on Taking on a World of Words.

The idea is pretty simple, every week you dedicate a post to the three W’s:

What are you currently reading?

What have you just finished reading?

What are you going to read next?

Currently Reading

Tsubasa: The Reservoir Chronicles is what I’m currently in the middle of, more specifically Vol.11. I’m also in the middle of Ranma 1/2, which I read 6 volumes so far and have yet to continue, but I’m missing the next volume, which I already ordered.

Top Ten Tuesday – Water

Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.

The rules:

  • Each Tuesday, Jana assigns a new topic. Create your own Top Ten list that fits that topic – putting your unique spin on it if you want.
  • Everyone is welcome to join but please link back to The Artsy Reader Girl in your own Top Ten Tuesday post.
  • Add your name to the Linky widget on that day’s post so that everyone can check out other blogger’s lists.
  • Or if you don’t have a blog, just post your answers as a comment.

This week’s topic is: Water (This can be covers with water on them, books with bodies of water in them, titles with bodies of water in them, etc.)

Hey guys! This is going to be a mix of books I’ve seen or heard about in other platforms too. I definitely saw them in TTT, but I don’t know if I added them just for that. Let’s see what I came up with!

Hey guys! So, I was a bit o the fence about what genre to choose. One of my favorites for a long time was fantasy and for some reason I haven’t been picking it up, so I decided to do some of the best fantasy books I’ve read – in between 4.5 and 5 stars.

First Line Fridays – 18 of August of 2023

First Lines Fridays is a weekly feature for book lovers hosted by Wandering Words. What if instead of judging a book by its cover, its author or its prestige, we judged it by its opening lines? This is originally hosted by Wandering Words.

Rules:
> Pick a book off your shelf (it could be your current read or on your TBR) and open to the first page
> Copy the first few lines, but don’t give anything else about the book away just yet – you need to hook the reader first
> Finally… reveal the book!

Hey everyone! Hope you’re all having a great Friday ❤️ So, this is an easy one, but it’s so compelling I can’t wait to start the book.

“Here is a small fact: You are going to die.”

This week’s topic is: Characters from Different Books Who Should Team Up (or date, be friends with, etc.) (Submitted by Cathy @ WhatCathyReadNext)

Well, this sounds difficult, I have quite a short memory 😂 Since I’ve been reading mainly manga, that’s all I can think about. I’ll do two manga pairings and three fictional book pairings so it makes 10 books!
