Summer is here (well kind of, right?), school is done, you have no more worries for some time in that department!
Since my birthday is tomorrow, I kind of made a selection of books to FOR SURE read this Summer. So because of that, I am choosing books that I asked / bought for my birthday or books that I already owned, that I have been wanted to read but that are always being held back, because new books come in the way (and I get to excited! Common problem right?).
Also, for my birthday I prioritized books that I already own some of the collection, and that I want to continue, but I didn’t had; or ones that I wanted for to long. So basically I want to end the collections I already own before starting new ones, to save some re-readings, since some will already happen! And because I wanted to start reading some contemporaries, that I don’t own much. (There is always some exceptions because of my birthday where I can’t hold myself :P)
So, finally the List:
1. Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins
Starting well, we have the first exception… It’s a birthday present. But I’ve been wanting to read this book ever since I’ve heard of it, so… It’s okay right? :D. I’ve heard lots of great things about it, and plus its a contemporary!
2. Lola and the Boy Next Door by Stephanie Perkins
Of course I will continue with the series!… Another book I heard so much about… People love this books, and I just keep seeing them appear over and over in videos, in posts,… everywhere! I NEED to read them. You need to read them.
3. Isla and the Happily Ever After by Stephanie Perkins
So pretty much same thing has #2, but in this one I am putting all my hopes! I really hope I love this books has much as everyone, and especially that the last one will be good if not the best! Because it’s the one people most say its amazing, and it’s supposedly where all the girls appear.
4. Cress by Marissa Meyer
I read Cinder and Scarlet early this year, but ever since I haven’t had opportunity to buy the rest of the series since I can’t buy them in my country easily (sigh) So finally I will have them and continue this amazing series!
5. Winter by Marissa Meyer
Winter.. I have so many hopes for this one!! In one side I don’t want to end this series but for other side, I want so much to see finally what will happen!! And to know more about the characters and that amazing world/ worlds!!
6. The Storm by Virginia Bergin
Another book that I have read the previous one this year and that I wanted to continue. This one is only a duology and I really want to know what happens next, since it’s a apocalyptic book! >.<
7. Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs
I wanted to read this for so long! And a movie is coming up, where the trailer is awesome, and the director of the movie is the amazing Tim Burton. How could I not ask this for my birthday?! So for sure I am super much wanting to read this book since it came out!
8. Hollow City by Ransom Riggs
Like I said, I will totally make sure I end the collections I start. Since I actually have the books, and since I so much wanted to have them. I am pumped up to read them super badly! hihi
9. Library of Souls by Ransom Riggs
The last book. Pretty much #8 I have absolutely no idea where this series will go with the end, or the middle or anything really… But don’t they seem amazing??? Hopefully they will be!
10. The One by Kiera Cass
Finally!!!! I read The Selection and The Elite aeons ago!! And I haven’t found yet till now The One, but finally I will read it! And I am so happy about it, because supposedly will kinda end the part I already read (and that I intend to re-read just to make sure I remember, that for sure I don’t, at least half), since The Heir is passed years afterwords.
So, that was my top 10 books for my summer! Hopefully I’ll get to read them all and also start/finish some series. Hopefully?! Nah, I will for sure read all of this and start/finish some series!
QOTD: Have you read any of this books? And… What books are on your top reading list for this summer?
